TBI Track Times and Thanks
I took my car to the track for the first time ever on 7-29-03. I didn’t do too poorly, considering I’d never even gone down a drag strip before. I didn’t do any work to the car at the track, just drove up there, went down the track 6 times and then left. My 2nd run was the best (13.81 @ 100.02 mph). Not terrible for a TBI in my opinion.
I was disappointed that I was not ever able to race an import head to head. I was usually paired against a 69 tubbed Camaro that kicked my a$$ (low 12s). But I’d like to see him meet 1991 emission standards and get 19 mpg like me! Of the six races, I only won one- against a Dodge Caravan! Fa!
