Any opinions on the Gear Vendors Under/Overdrive? I know you guys wiht the TH350/TH400 swaps might enjoy getting an overdrive gear again and all of us with a 200-R4/700-R4 would love 8 forward gears. Just wondering.

I've been reading about it... here's what I know:
-Average life span 250k miles on it.
-Bolts to the transmission in place of tail shaft
-Takes custom length driveshaft
-Has automatic and manual control on the drive, Automatic from what I understand waits for transmission to get into the last gear and then shifts like a OD... manual mod you can use a trigger (push) button to make it engage between the gears... so... 1st gear... push button 1st over... shift stick/release button 2nd... push button 2nd over... and so on....
-From the looks of it I think there will be a problem with contact with the tq arm... it's alot longer than the regular tailshaft and it's got a square type body in the middle of it.
-Built to handle 1200 hp... can be built for 2000+ hp but it'll cost ya more...
-Good for 2 years free replacement at 1200 hp
-Lowers engine rpm by 17% (might be 22%, I get numbers mixed)
-Increase mph slightly
-I believe it has a .76:1 gear in it
-Costs around 2400 bucks for the one for a 700r4 (before buying driveshaft or paying to have installed)
-I believe it can be bolted on a manual transmission
-Turns 4.11 gears into like 3.23s when gear is active in OD
I'll get more info on it later... I bought a Muscle Car Mag just cause they had a write up on it.
