Well, at least where no mechanic's hand has gone before: Replacing motor mounts
So I'd just like to know what kind of evil sadistic engineer designed this. Would it have been too much to ask to have a more strategically placed hole for a wrench or swivel socket? Or better yet, have the bolts thread into the crossmember? It's a dam good thing I have tiny hands because it seems like my only other option to get that 3rd bolt was to drop the A-arm down. Gee, that's convenient. In fact, this was about as user-friendly as replacing the window motor. So I'm just wondering what people with normal sized hands and wrists do.

Seems to me, that there are a lot of things they could have designed better on our cars (Made easier to repair).
Take care

Have fun!!
I did my passenger side mount about 4 months ago.....and the drivers side mount is still sitting in my car collecting dust. I bought a cheap 15 mm wrench and I bent it(thanks to thirdgen)....worked PERFECT. Still took a good 3-4 hours just to do that 1 mount though.

I second the bent 15mm wrench idea. Replaced both mounts with that idea. Sure beats droppin' the A-arms.

I don't know what you guys(and girls) are talking about. They are way easy to get at - when the engine is removed.
On a side note, I am used to this kind of crap since EVERY Frickin bolt on an Army vehicle has a nut on the other end of it, regardless of whether or not it is accessible.
Great Fun......... Reminds me of why I quit being a mechanic and went back to school....
