Don't know do with this LT1
I got a great deal on this LT1. Is brand brand new(not remanufactured)GM 350 cubic inch cast iron headed reverse flow cooling. LT1 Crate Motor. It has had the 30 hour break in run from the manufacturer. No actual car miles on the motor. Vin code is P. Block ID is 10125327. Applications for this engine are the 94-95 Camero & Corvette (except the ZR1. 93 Camero, 92-93 Corvette (except the ZR1), 94-95 Caprice & Impala etc. This particlular engine was headed to a shop and involved in a train accident in Tennessee and although the seller anticipated there should be no problems whatsoever with this engine.
I paid $986.00 Now my only question is what should I do with it? I understand that my 350 TPI out of my 87 GTA is useless to apply to this. I am going to need the puter, wiring harness, intake, brackets and the whole nine yards. Is it worht all the trouble going thru this. A friend of mine said he would do away with the electronics and carburate it.
Guys what would you do if you were faced with this situation? [IMG]http://www.pixhost.com/pixv/vikings1/i-1.jpg

if you redrill the TPI intake for the LT1 heads you can just plop it on the LT1. Block off the TPI thermostat. Problem solved
p.s. Geocities doesn't let you link or post pics.

Well I did the swap in 8 days and I was alone, if you need wiring codes I can help you...as far as everything else, it's pretty easy to swap this motor, worst part would be the electronic but it's not that hard if you do understand how vats (passkey II) is working. make a search on this board...every thing is there... also if you do have the LT1 with cast iron head it's comming from a RoadMaster and not a camaro or corvette. it's rated at 275 hp and it's a pretty good engine.

All the info you need is on the boards. Do a search. By the way, it's camAro not camEro. You're forgiven this time, but further transgressions will not be tolerated.

Well I would go for the injection, if you do want carb. GMPP makes a bolt on intake manifold for it, you'll also need a 4th gen V8 rad, if you use a 1LE a/c delete pulley its a very easy drop in, check ebay for the bracket and the acessories, mine had the bracket and alt. but no p/s pump 1LE idler or tensioner, got my tensioner and idler from GM :O about 60 bux each, u can find much cheaper on ebay, pump was under a 100 bux from local parts store.
