I recently parted with my thirdgen and Im left with a obd1 (aldl) to usb cable that I no longer need.

Do you have any of the software or know where I can get it? Is this all that is needed to watch all the parameters on a laptop besides software?

You just need the cable and then one of any number of free software programs like winaldl or tunerpro that you can download online. Then you can watch all of the parameters/sensors as well as record them to analyze later.
