The G2s are nice heads. I got one of the very first sets when they first came out. Fully ported, with a monster cam(290/290 560/560), they make for a screaming small block. What heads are you going for? Not too many that will outflow mine.

Re: Trickflow aluminum twisted G2 cylinder heads for sale

Sure, just be careful with CR on the iron heads. Theyre not as forgiving as aluminum. My cam actually works fine with flat tops(10.2:1). Theres about .100 clearance throught the overlap range. Any bigger lobes and id need fly cut pistons. The point with the G2s is they give great flow due to the relocated intake valve, which creates a straighter path to the chamber. And they also provide good velocity. On my TPI, I really focused on creating the easiest path possible from TB to chamber. Thats how it revs so quick to 7000. With your SC app velocity wont be a problem anyway.

Re: Trickflow aluminum twisted G2 cylinder heads for sale

The stock runner size on the G2s is about 190cc. But dont get too stuck on that number. With their intake runner design, these heads flow more like 210s. And their exhaust runners flow well enough to allow the use of a single profile cam. If I remember right, out of the box flow is 257cfm at .600.

Thats a HUGE cam for the TPI setup it seems. How does the big cam like the smaller heads and TPI? hows the low end power? you have any numbers or vids of this thing? Im on a head hunt for my 355 with a 224-230 540s 112 cam and i was thinkin about goin with some ported aluminum dart 200s....But if your setup works and runs strong with the Tricks i dont see why mine would be any diff. ported 200s might be to much air?

My TPI system is nothing like stock. Superram base ported huge, TPIS large tube runners, 1.75 SLP headers, and the G2 heads. Every port is meticulously smoothed and port matched, even the headers.

The G2s are nothing like typical heads. They use a "twisted wedge" design that relocates the intake valve to straighten the path from the manifold to the chamber. this produces far greater flow than most 200cc heads and still maintains good velocity for good midrange torque. The end result for me is a TPI that fries tires, revs strong to 7000, and a car that does 200mph no sweat.

I will try to post some videos this summer and plan on making some 1/4 mile runs. I built this car 11 years ago and its never been down the strip. Have had it at 194mph. That was before i raised rev limit from 6500 to 7000. TPIS still sells my cam. Its the ZZ-X. 240/240 @050, 290/290 @006., 560/560 lift with 1.5 rockers. For years this was the biggest hyd roller cam made. Comp now grinds a bigger one. The XFI292

Re: Trickflow aluminum twisted G2 cylinder heads for sale

back before it was called the G2
they made one with a 200cc intake port(94/96) this is the set I run, close to AFR 210's(10 to12CFM) and this was back in 96
thats before a full port Job BY AFR..LOL
back in the day this set of heads sold for $950 bucks

http://instructor.mstc.edu/instructo...sbc%20200+.htm

links above should work

if not this is some of whats on the links

In an attempt to be different for the better, this TSF twisted Wedge head changed the valve angles from 23 degrees to 13 degrees. The really big difference here is what the exhaust side of this head is capable of. Only one other head (AFR 210) was even close on the exhaust side. The E/I was also a very respectable 77%. This head really can wake up your engine.

Re: Trickflow aluminum twisted G2 cylinder heads for sale

Yeah. I bought mine for $1150 in 99. Had to wait 8 months for them because they had pulled them for a redesign. According to the factory customer rep I spoke with, I got the second set of the new production. Now they sell for $1500. I think they might be the best street head made. In my combo, they make a very powerful, high revving motor that is also very streetable.
