OER 91-92 Camaro front chin spoiler

Like many other 91 Camaro owners, my front chin spoiler was filed and scraped. After failed searched for a GM piece, I was forced to go with one from OER. After sending back 3, I finally received one that appeared to look decent. However once installed, the fitment was horrible. Anyone else have experience with these pieces?

In my history with OER, nothing ever quite fits or looks as good as original. I'm not sure how they managed to drop the ball on so many products, but they did.

Re: OER 91-92 Camaro front chin spoiler

I owe an apology to Classic Industries. I made a mistake when I stated I purchased my spoiler from them. I just assumed it came from them, because I have made several orders while restoring my car. They contacted me offering to fix the situation. Thanks for great customer service, and again I sincerely apologize.

Re: OER 91-92 Camaro front chin spoiler

I'm curious about the issues you had with the first two. Right now I have one which was just painted, not on the car yet.

What I did notice is the molding left excess material at the air inlets are on both sides. I shaved it off and smoothed it out. However, I did not test fit the piece prior to having it painted.

Can you provide additional insight?

The first 2 were crudely cut out at the air ducts. One of them had a gash that could not be smothed out at all. The second one was really wavy and looked like it was poorly molded, if that makes sense. The one I have on the car now, just doesn't fit very good.
