Cars & Concepts T-Top - new weather seal installation?

Hi,

stripped and painted my 1988 IROC, which has Cars & Concepts T-Tops. Also took the T Tops out to sand blast and powder coat.

Recently bought a complete weather seal kit from http://www.sunroofdoctor.com/ but the car has been in parts for a couple of years and I'm not sure about the reassembly.

Has anyone seen a video or instructions on how to install weather seals for a Cars & Concepts T-Top Camaro?

Not when i did mine some 20yrs back. The A/B pillar sections go in pretty much the same as GM style. The top part fits into a U channel.Just needs a good cleaning before installing the new seals.
Mine have the venting type glass, so those seals have an inner & outer section.A little tricky doing those, but still not too bad.Dont over do the RTV.

Cool, thanks, I'll chase some RTV.

All of the steel pieces, including the actual T Top and the 4 door jam pieces have been sand blasted and powder coated and I'm trying to reassemble it as close at possible to original.

Re: Cars & Concepts T-Top - new weather seal installation?

The C&C seals are pretty easy to replace. Just put some adhesive remover in the grooves and let it sit for a few minutes. Then just scrape the old seals out. I used weatherstrip adhesive when installing the new ones. Its a lot easier than it looks. Just follow the instructions from sunroofdoctor that came with the new stuff. Make sure you attach the two ends as instructed prior to installing the rest of the stripping.
