1987 Camaro Z28 305TPI 5spd $4000
Time has come to perhaps sell my Camaro due to possibly not have a garage to store it any longer. This is a highly optioned Camaro with most options available in 1987 except leather I think. I will get a picture of the RPO sticker in a few days. I took these few pictures today as I was at the garage. I will try to explain details of Camaro to the best of my knowledge. I am the third owner (10+ years I would have to check title issue date to be certain). Camaro has not been driven in 6 years and last started 1.5 years ago. I put only around 6k mikes in the car, previously owner put most of the miles on the car as he purchased it used when it was a year old. Car has 98K original miles. I rarely drove the car as I purchased it for sentimental reasons to replace another 5spd 305TPI Iroc I owned that was totaled years before.
LB9 305 TPI, M5 5spd, G92, G80, J65, KC4 and Iroc package are the drivetrain options which are fairly hard to come by.
The car has t-tops, bose stereo, dimming rearview mirror and overhead console.
Okay the condition of the car: Car needs a paint job as can be seen in the pictures. There is a minor but long (12”+) crease on the passenger door to front fender where someone struck the car while it was parked on the street. Belt to smog pump is missing, 2nd owner said it snapped causing a little damage to the hood insulation. He never replace the belt nor did I. Original radiator (dated 2/87 if I recall correctly) needs to be replaced as a leak developed (rust I assume). I noticed this the last time (1.5 yrs ago) I started the car. There are no holes in the exhaust but it may be time to replace as I recall rust particles shooting out if you reeved the motor. Interior is clean with no rips in the seats but the vinyl trim on the seats has cracking. Headliner needs to be replaced and fabric on driver’s side door is starting to peel/fall from door. I do not think the car has any body rot (rust) but would have to perform an inspection. When I was driving the car I had no issues and it drove tight and solid. From all of this time being parked clearly the basics should be addressed to ensure it being road worthy. This is a very good well optioned 1987 Camaro Z28 original car.
