O2 sensors

I'm using a 727 ecm, and the O2 sensor is in the driver's side header. Could I install a 2nd sensor in the passenger side, and switch back and forth to verify how each bank is performing? My ve's at this point look pretty good, but I'm not satisfied with the drivability.

Re: O2 sensors

Yes, you can do that. Just use a high quality switch for the sensor signal. One with gold plated contacts would be best. The reason is that the O2 sensor impedance is on the high side.

Re: O2 sensors

Thanks. I was not planning on a switch, just unplug one and plug in the other.
