UMI adjustable torque arm and 700r4/t5 crossmember relocation
Up for sale I have a UMI adjustable torque arm with a crossmember relocation kit for a 700r4 or t5 transmission. I've had this setup on my car for about 3 weeks now. It's still installed actually. I'm going back to stock setup in about 2 weeks. This "Track pack" is just a little too much for my current setup/daily driver. I'd consider a partial trade for a UMI non adjustable torque arm in likewise condition. Basically I am trying to presale my setup as I will be removing it in 2 weeks. I paid $500 for this setup with the shipping included. I'd like to get $400 shipped for it. Price is pretty firm because it's essentially a new part. Would consider trades for other thirdgen tpi parts, like 1.5/1.6 aluminum roller rockers, trick flow .23 heads for a 305, offer anything else?

Is it too noisy or too much vibration? I'm interested, just need to see what needs to be done to get long tubes. Will let you know soon.

Re: UMI adjustable torque arm and 700r4/t5 crossmember relocation
I have it dialed in for street driving, and I took it out on the highway the other day, and I just had a lot of noise coming from my rear end, like a harmonic whoop whoop whoop sound. I have a stock setup motor and tranny and this is probably just overkill for my application. I'm looking to build a 300hp 305 tpi and I think the stock torque arm with a poly bushing will fit my needs. I just jumped the gun with my tax return when I bough this.

Re: UMI adjustable torque arm and 700r4/t5 crossmember relocation
Well, I'm running a stock 305 tpi and a stock nwc t5. I was trying to build the chasis up and take stress off of the weak t5 bellhousing. I want to build a street able 300hp, on my 305. And I think a stock arm with a poly bushing will work just fine. I tried adjusting the pinion angle from -1 to -3 like the manual stated and -3 had the least vibration street wise. Took it on the highway and my rear end didn't like it. Also with a spherical mounting setup it shifts forwards and backwards with your motions, especially when your banging gears, (which UMI has stated is totally normal). I just don't like it. I guess it's just personal preference.
