I have a chance to purchase and 1989 black GTA with 35,000 original miles. Black t top with black cloth. All options including N10, with analog dash. RPO codes all in line. Car has been sitting for years. No weather at all. Undercarriage perfect. Interior clean, no wear. Issue is car needs a complete repaint. All clear coat off. No dents. Spoiler looks like it will need replaced. Runs good, no oil or tranny leaks. All rubbers good. Basically sat for 10 years in a garage under a cover. The cover looks to have ruined the paint. Any opinions welcome. Thanks.

You really can't say the tires are good if it sat for 10 years. Does it run and drive?

I have a black 1987 GTA digital hash that needs a a spoiler, has surface rust at the rear wheels, needs a repaint, good interior, good tires, runs and drives and I'd be happy to get $3000.

I have a very nice 1984 that is all stock, perfect interior, good paint, black and gold and people never even make me an offer.

It is what you think it's worth.

Thanks for the reply. When I said "good rubbers" I meant all the seals look new. They are not cracked or dried out. Still very pliable. As for how it runs, the 350 will still smoke the tires through 1st gear. The car is as if it is a 2013 with 35,000 miles but has really bad paint.

Trying to decide if I get it for 4000 or less and paint it would it be worth 7K or greater?

I just purchased a 86 red trans am 5.0 tpi in mint original condition for 4,000 last week with 55,000 miles on it ..repainted cars are hard to sell , I wont even look at them ..
