4th gen steering shaft
Ran a few searches and could not find any topics on this. Does anyone know if the steering shaft from the 4th gen cars can fit in ours? I know the Jeep or Astro shafts are popular, but has anyone tried the 4th gen shafts?

Re: 4th gen steering shaft
Yup, you are correct. Maybe this can serve as a sticky somewhere, but the 4th gen steering shafts are around 13" and non adjustable for length, and ours are around 18".

Re: 4th gen steering shaft
the 4th gens have rack and pinion steering, which probably has a different shaft size and spline count on top of being in a totally different location than the Saginaw steering box in the older cars.

Re: 4th gen steering shaft
It does not fit. The 4th gen column will fir but you have to fully collapse the shaft.
