power steering pump

I've been through 5 re-manufactured power steering pumps from Oreilly's. The first two whined all the time. I thought it was air bubbles, but after hundreds of miles of driving it never got any better. The 3rd pump was very quiet and had a solid shaft for the pulley with zero up and down play. However, it blew the front seal and leaked everywhere. The 4th pump was bad in the box. The pump was not seated flush into the tank. You could see the seal. The 5th pump's shaft had quite a bit of play. I put it in anyway and it whined like a banshee. I got a refund and bought a brand new, American made, Tuff Stuff Performance steering pump (6179B) from Summit. The shaft had no play and no seals were sticking out. It hasn't made a sound and no leaks. I can't wait until I forget how to put one in.
