Figure this one out

Puzzle time. Symptoms as of last night in order of appearance. 1 brake light illuminated. 2 engine rpms about 2 to 300 higher than normal. 3 pushing brake pedal causes radio to turn off releasing it radio comes back on. 4 same thing happens when I hit pull the brights switch. 5 headlights dimmer than normal. 6 battery gauge reads about 9 volts or so. 7 car overheated. Symptoms 3, 4, 5, 6 happened all around the same time. Started the car this morning and checked out a few things. 1 coolant was low obviously so added more. 2 no blown fuses or bad grounds that I could find. 3 No oil in coolant or vice versa. 4 battery gauge reads about 10 volts when car is running. Bad alternator causing a slew of electrical issues? What do you guys think

Re: Figure this one out

Before you can do any troubleshooting, your battery MUST be fully charged and in good condition (which yours appears not to be).
