What's better, MAF or Speed Density?

I'm planning to go FI from Carb on my 84 TA but was wondering, what is the better system and which way should I go?

Can I get some input as to the pros/cons of the MAF vs Speed density? Basically, which is preferred or better and why?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Re: What's better, MAF or Speed Density?

It depends on how radical a cam. More radical maf, maf fairly easy to tune IMO . If the cam produces steady idle vacuum than sd if we are comparing stock 86-92 f-body tpi ecms. Apearance sd
Or best of bolth worlds for stock gm would be the 411 ECM. The downfall is finding a good tuner or paying out a lot to do obd2 programming yourself.
