Some help? lost now :/

Hello folks!

I have a 1985 Pontiac Trans Am with a 305 Tuned port, other then things that needed replaced, its basically stock

it keeps dying on me without sputtering or anything, just dies like the key was turned off, at complete random, then when you do drive, it cuts out really bad

So far:
Air filter
oil change
fuel filter
Fuel pressure: OK!
ign cont module: new

these are the only things i can think of that would cause this sort of thing, any help is really appreciated!

Been there, it's rare but happened to me. Check your distributor cap, see if the center pin is blown out. I've lost the balast resistor (the pin). Past that you got me, loose coil power wire?

Another thought... When you did the control module did you ohm your pick up coil should be 1500+? if memory serves anyway. If thats bad that would cause a random miss.

And a few more....

PLUGS
WIRES
Ohm out INJECTORS when HOT and Cold
Could be bad INJECTORS
VACUUM LINES, All of them
FUEL PUMP going bad, loss of pressure
FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR

Get the service manual and troubleshoot
