Ecm repinned

So I'm not sure if this has been answered already or if there is a more detailed diagram that I just can't find but I am having an ECM repin issue.

I have a 1987 camaro z28 t-top with the 5.7L 350 motor with stock TPI.

Long story short I repinned my 2 connectors to my ECM. The 2 diagrams I have on hand (1 is a chilton the other is a haynes) don't match each other so I'm not sure which is more accurate. But regardless of that, after doing the repin I have 4 wires that I don't have pinned. Neither manual tells me about those 4 wires.

I have attached pictures of the diagrams I'm using just in case. Please help me out. I am hoping that I don't have to buy a new wiring harness.

Thank you for your time guys.

I have also used chevythunder.com. Great site for TPI wiring diagrams and specifics.

Concerning the two manuals you already have. I would not trust the Haynes manual. I have used them in the past and have found errors.

Re: Ecm repinned

What was the position of the wires in the connector? Wire colors?

I can't read those diagrams, they are too fuzzy. Without knowing anything more about what you are doing, I might suspect your extra wires are related to the CSI and switch since they were used on 87 TPI but not on 89 TPI. You Haynes sheet shows 89 and earlier but they are not all the same.

Re: Ecm repinned

^ please disregard. I just looked at a cold-start diagram and it's a self-contained system that is not controlled by the ECM.

Sorry.

Re: Ecm repinned

So I will try to make a long story short.
I had an 85 z28 5.0 TPI. Blew the motor and bought my 87 I have now. The 87 had no motor and no wiring harness so I pulled my harness from the 85 and put a 5.7 TPI back in the 87 with the 85 harness and also bought an aftermarket ecm and software from dynamic efi. Had to repin both plugs going to the ecm and I marked all wires with tape and wrote all original plug positionso for each wire and all wires were accounted for. I couldn't figure the software out and put the wires back it the proper places. Again all wires accounted for. The car sat for a few years and I came back to working on it and I thought I repinned the ecm wrong so pulled all wires out of the 2 plugs to start over and compare the wires to the diagrams I have. The tape became brittle and fell off of the wires. I used the diagrams and repinned the 2 plugs. I have about 5 wires that are not in the diagrams for 85 or 87.
