Car: 1987 Pontiac Trans Am/GTA
Engine: L98 350 TPI,
Transmission: 700-R4
Axle/Gears: 9 bolt w/ 3.23 posi
700R4
Which company do you guys like for a good 700R4 trans? I was driving home last fall and trans went out on me again. This makes number 5. I'm getting tired of replacing it every 1 to 2 years. It's parked every fall and gets new fluid and filter every summer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. This last trans was out of a 3/4 ton 2wd Chevy truck.

Pro Built Automatics has been helping Third Gen owners on this site for a long time and is the go to guy for any 700r4 or 4L60E Transmissions or parts or questions.

What's your opinion about the raptor 700r4. I have been thinking about getting one for a long time, but I haven't seen any posts about them.
