215-65r-15 Goodyear Eagle GT ll - Will they fit on my stock '83 Z-28 ?
I have an opportunity to receive a set of 4 good used Goodyear Eagle GT ll RWL, for Free. But they are 215-65r-15's, I have always ran with 235-60r-15's.
What do you guys/girls think as far as fitting, will the 215's work with out rubbing?
Would that size tire look really Dumb on my stock 83ZZZ28??
Any thoughts on this would be Greatly Appreciated ! !
Thanks, Rod

WOW, That was a shocker for me.
After you posted that was the Factory Tire size in 1983, I looked at my original build sheet.
Sure enough, [QYH 215/65R 15WL TR] . My records show that 30 years ago, back in 1986 I had changed over to the 235-60r-15's. I forgot that I changed sizes, and thought my 235's were stock.
Thank you for info & help!!

Rod,
With used tires, check the date codes. Any shop that would do the install will check the date codes and probably decline to install "old" tires over 3 years old.
My cars also started with 215/65R15 too and I have run several sets of 235/60R15 over the years.
