i agree to a point....

however, there are reasons that more then one person might have a similar set of wheels. if it looks good then more power to them. however, something like a TTII that is completely over used i can see.

i like the hot rods....however; i found a flaw in them that bothers me alot so i'm looking towards something different.

check my other thread....

i don't like the center section as it looks really cheap on this wheel.

if anyone can get a better picture that shows up close a detailed center section please post it! i don't know why they look like this but if the rim looks like this in any light at all i don't want it on my car.

You're right about that one! It makes the wheel look like a cheap set of Cragar wheels. lol Whatever you pick, i am sure it will be hot. Personally, if i had the money i would want either the Fikse's or the Simmons 5 spoke wheel with a polished lip and either a gun metal center section or all polished. later

nice choices but at twice the price would you really want those?

if money wasn't an object or if those rims had a real useable purpose above others i'd be all for them.

I hear ya. For 17"x9" and 17"x11" rears i was quoted $3200 without tires. Pretty insane. "IF" i had the money, they would be mine. I consider those wheels to be the last wheel one would ever have to buy! Light enough for the strip, and durable enough for daily driving. Nice wheels but too much.

I really like it because its a simple 5 spoke rim, somewhat of a thick spoke with a pretty good sized lip. I don't rims in any other way except deep dished.

Thats what I just did

I think they are ok, I liked the Hot Rod look better, wasn't there a wheel that you were looking at that was just like the hot Rod but with a different center?

well it's a major toss up between the hot rods, rodder, budnik arrows, and the basic fm5's from both fiske, hre, and simons.

the nice thing about the boze is they aren't really known in the f-body and mustang crowd and they are extremely light weight as well as the company boasts to carry the brightest polishing out of all of them. unfortunately at 950 a wheel they are rather expensive, but it would be nice to have a rim that isn't commonly seen. although, maybe that's for a reason?

thanks again jim for some great photoshop work!

rims are such a tough decision since they make or break the car. maybe i should get rid of the baer brakes and go back to my originals?

well that's what i ended up going with and i'm extremely happy. the quality and finish is the best i've seen by far.

4" lip in the rear and a 2" in the front...the car is also slammed now and the wheels tuck perfectly. not to mention at 10lbs lighter a wheel then the z06 cast 18's the car even feels quicker and without the use of adapters it handles better and you can actually see my brakes. it's also nice to have a wheel that is different; i wasn't one for billet and the polished look but after having them i wouldn't go any other way.

Well I'm glad you finally picked a wheel and are happy with them, can't wait to see some real pics of them on your car

I think the next thing you should buy for your car is a good digicam to take pics of it with

how long have you been telling me that? why should i when you can photoshop so well.

the billet wheels really give the car a much more custom feel and with it dropped nicely it definately gets more attention. i'll try to get some pictures up soon. the polished baer caliper reallly looks nice sitting behind them.

Great choice!!! Can't wait to see it... I think it will look so much better than it did with the Z06 wheels.

sounds good larry, the car should be up and running by the beginning of the week. the gasket that was given to me by tpis for the miniram didn't hold up very long. It isn't fun to see a 2' fountain of coolant shoot straight up out of a new motor!

25THRSS, thanks for the kind words.

johnyIROC, i have to agree; i really liked the z06 wheels but the custom billet look has really grown on me over the year and i like the polished look so much more then chrome now. it really adds a custom look to the car while still looking clean which i've been trying to achieve for so long.

by the way for anyone wanting to know they are BOZE stingers and mine are 18 all around. with reverse mounted doubled rolled lips and the correct offset a 18 looks almost as small as a 17. for looks 19 probably would have been better but definately not practicle.

i personally like the stock 16" rim that i had in chrome but since no one makes a larger version to fit a larger brake upgrade i had to look elsewhere. i tried going with a different approach and it didn't work. the options are very limited with our offset and adapters do not work right no matter what you do so my options were very limited. i personally can't see spending the money hre, iforged, simons, etc. want and i was lucky enough to find these so i went with them and couldn't be happier.

the other nice thing that was a good selling feature was the weight. roughly 10lbs lighter then both the stock 16" cast wheel and the z06 wheel makes a huge difference. that's almost 40lbs of rotational weight that i lost which made a big difference in the feel and acceleration of the car.

yeah i like the z06 style but i did not like the wheels and using adapters just isn't fun. i'm alot happier with the billet and without using adapters the car drives so much better.
