Anyone have these tires? I am thinking of getting a set for my new wheels... either 275/40/17 or 285/40/17 for 17x9.5 wheels. Any opinions would be appriciated on quality or size.

I gotta buddy out to the track that runs the BFG drag radials and they hook super, BUT they wear very quickly if driven daily on the street. As soon as I get my new cam and convertor in (next week I hope) I'm gonna buy the BFG's because the class I race does'nt allow slicks, DOT tires only-these will be a track only tire for me unless we go to the big cruise strip down south where they street race for cash. But I did'nt say that!

I have those tires, 245/50-16. I love them. They are a little harsh on the ride, but hey if I cared about a soft ride I sure as hell wouldn't have an IROC-Z. They have excellent traction for cornering, acceleration and are some of the best rain tires I've seen. I have about 4000 miles on mine and I don't have any wear problems. I took a 700 mile road trip on them right after I got them. www.tirerack.com has them for a reasonable price. Mine was like $500 for the tires and them to get them mounted, balanced and dispose of the old tires. To compare them to the Bridgestones that were on my car I could floor it from a standstill and fishtail most of the way through first, now they spin a little bit, hook and I'm gone.
Hope this helps,
Jason
