I like the sound but you'll get opinions from everybody. It's a good muffler and it's louder than stock, big time!

i went to the flowmaster web site and i listened to the 40 series and 80 series and i like both, i think i like the 40 better but how is it going to sound on my 305?? both on the web site were on 350's.

I had a flowmaster 40 series on my original 305, and then on my current 355, and it was by far the meanest sounding muffler I ever heard.
The only reason I went to the hooker aerochamber was because they say I'm getting old and the flowmaster resonated inside too much for me

will i have to run dual exhaust or will it work if i just get the dual outlet offset inlet muffler and put it in stock position? and will this still sound good or should i just go with the 80 series because it fits in the stock crossflow spot? thanks alot

Either way you'll keep your stock single pipe coming over the axle, and then depending on which one you go with, you'll either have two pipes coming out one side or one on each side.
Personally I like the 40 series and having the exhaust exit on one side(IMO it sounds better than the crossflow) but you might find it easier just to go with another crossflow muffler if you don't plan on changing the whole cat back right now. Alot of people like the dual exhaust look too.
