How to strengthen rear end...???

hey guys, the camaro is gonna be hit with some nitrous soon. the rear blew out last winter, and we dont want it to happen again. it is a 7.5 10-bolt rear w/3.73s in it. Is there any simple things that we can do to add a little power to it so that it last for a while--or till NevinKez can get that money for a 9" rear

i know that they have girdle covers, they give it some extra *umph* but is there anything else that will help?

A lot of people weld the axle tubes and you could use a solid spacer instead of a crush sleeve. Hey why not just put a spool init.

De-burr the gear set to elimnate stress risers, pay attention to the root of the tooth on the pinion gear closest to the inner pinion bearing, this is where most of the ring and pinion failures begin.

yea ive heard u can weld the axel tubes to the housing or what ever its called but use a good stick welder and us E7018 rods becuz i was told that was a good rod to to that with but with me i would probably use E6010 5p+ and then go over that with the E7018 rod.

Car: 1993 Toyota Supra
Engine: Inline 6
Transmission: 6 Speed
Axle/Gears: 3.13
Try a Differential Cover, like one made by T/A or "The Ultimate Cover"

Car: 92 Camaro RS
Engine: 350 Crate Motor
Transmission: Tremec TKO
Axle/Gears: 10 Bolt 3.73
Like said above,
I've welded the tubes to the center section, replaced the crush sleeve with a solid spacer and a girdle type cover (Summit makes an inexpensive one).
So far, so good.
