Recaro "Sport" seats - long read, but happy!

I just installed the seats into my '89 RS 2 weeks ago and WOW, what a great set of seats!!
In June 2003 my wife had a spinal fusion in her lower back and hadn't been able to ride in our '89 Camaro for almost 2 years. We also own an '03 Jetta and she never had any comfort problems with the factory seats in that car. We had wanted to replace the crappy GM seats in the Camaro for a couple of years and had looked at Corbeau, Flo-Fit, and Sparco but never found any to be as comfortable as the Jetta seats. I knew that Recaro made the seats in my GLI so at a new car show last fall I had her plop into every car with Recaros we could find. The one she liked most was in the Mitsubishi EVO VIII, Recaro Sports.
I hit a dozen different sites and found one company that was FAR cheaper than ony other site, AZ Auto Sport Direct
While everyone else wanted $730 per seat + $90 shipping for each + $85 sliders for each seat, I got the pair shipped to my door for $1,503.00 - INCLUDING sliders!!
Only one company makes aftermarket seat brackets for 3rd gen F-bodies and I've read far too many complaints about them so I adapted the old seat brackets to the new sliders using 1/4x20x4" aluminum strips. Easy install, great looks and incredible comfort.
How's the wife like them? Well, they have standard adjustable lumber supports, extendable thigh supports, and the lower seat cushion actually rides on spring-loaded bearings to minimize road bumps. In a word, she LOVES them! For the first time in 3 years we were able to go on a 220-mile road trip and for the first time ever we both got out of the car as fresh as when we got in. Yes, they are that good!
Thank you to Victor at AZ Autosport and to Recaro.... My wife and I can share the Camaro together again!
Here's a pic of the seats before the install, I'll post some of the installation brackets I made and the "after" pics soon!

Recaro doesn't actually make the adapter brackets, they are made for Recaros by a company named Metra, I think thats the name, and I read nothing terribly positive about them. The Sparco brackets would have made them sit too high, and I didn't see the other company's products. The brackets I made are super simple and very sturdy.
Pricey - yes! It took my whole tax refund to get them!! LOL
The ZZ4 will have to wait until next April!!
