Runner dent remover kit

I know that everyone has seen the dent remover kit on ebay i was wondering if anyone had ever used them they are supposed to make the runners bigger and remove all dents is it worth it not only to remove dents but also a cheap way to gain airflow with your stock runners?

Re: Runner dent remover kit

I bought one of these kits and have used them sucessfully, however the large ***** fit the existing tube size and are not designed to make the tube larger. Plus the dent is not undetectable, perhaps 95% removed, in my experience. Takes out the large dents not minor ones.

Re: Runner dent remover kit

I have seen more than one vendor selling those on Ebay. I personally have tried the steel ball version (apparently someone sells a wooden ball version as well), and was very happy with the results. It worked well on minor and major dings, and the problems area were unnoticeable in my case. Since the ***** are slightly smaller than the tubes, you have to position a shim on the opposite side of the problem area and hammer the ***** in. Reapeating that while varying the position of the shim took out the entire problem area.

Re: Runner dent remover kit

Fill with water and freeze costs nothing. Been doing it on dirt bike pipes for years. If the dent is huge you might have to do it two or three times.

Re: Runner dent remover kit

Haven't used myself but know a guy who split his runners attempting to use.
