JAZ fuel cell (plastic) with foam
i bought this Jaz 16 gal plastic cell with foam. I'm running a magnafuel prostar 500 with filter before pump. it worked great for about 3000 miles then the thing just stopped one day. i pulled it out and sent it to magna fuel with out opening it. they sent it back after 100$ rebuild (free labor. They said the filter was plugged with fuel cell foam that made it aerate and that destroyed the cam ring and armature, also washed out a bearing.

Re: JAZ fuel cell (plastic) with foam
I have a 16 gallon plastic fuel cell also, don't remember the brand, but I purchased it from summit racing. The foam trashed my fuel system. I removed foam, flushed fuel cell, fuel lines, and cleaned carb. will never run foam again.

Damn. I have a summit racing aluminum unit. Never even thought of the foam as an issue. Maybe I will remove it too. Just in case.

The people at magna fuel are pretty good they fixed it for 100$ in parts only no labor but still its a cheap part destroying a expensive one
