I have the intermediates and they are great tires. They communicate very well, I alays know when they are about to let go. As far as the tread wear, they do wear kinda fast but I'm hoping to get new rims soon anyway so it didn't bother me to much. Plus they are pretty reasonably priced and come in a wide varity of sizes.

Here here for the intermediates. They hook like glue and are by far the best tire for the money. I have a freind with 2 svo mustangs and he has tried many tires and says that these are the best he has had. he usaly spins at the track but now he boggs. The turbo kicks on pretty violent and the tires actualy move the car when he spins the tires. I can spinn mine all the way past the 60 foot mark and still get a 2.1. The trick with these tires is that they have to be heated to work good. once they are hot you will have a hard time spining them. and i can go full throttle at the top of 2nd in the rain when they have warmed.

Having had the 520's and now Potenzas, I'd advise you to visit the Tire Rack and review some tires before buying the Yokohamas. Lots of better tires around.

I have the AVS sports in the rear of mine. (315/35/17) They hook awesome in dry conditions, but on rainy days I can punch it and go sideways at 50. It is fun sometimes!

Sorry I should have seen that you are from Calgary. The intermidates really don't do that well in rain. I live in SoCal so I really don't mind but, up there you might want to look for another tire.
