Another slow learner...F Body Motorsports...

I ordered a set of aftermarket door weatherstripping for my '87 T/A on July 19th. My card was charged. I've called several times to see where it is. Brian, and others talked to me, told me several stories about why they hadn't been shipped, etc. They'd call me back later the same day. Nope. Hard to get ahold of, etc, etc. Same crap as I've read on here before...but the parts were $80 at FBM vs. $120 at Hawks. Price ain't everything. I called today about 10 times in a row until they finally answered (which has worked for me three times with them...try it if you need to talk to them, since their emails are all down and the voice mail box is full ), and cancelled the order. No questions were asked as to why. When I checked to make sure they were refunding the $$$ to the right card...they WEREN'T! Once we got that straightened out, he still says that he has to clear it with the owner. Huh?!

So...I called Hawk's and ordered them for $120. That's a bargain! I've probably got $40 in phone calls screwin' with FBM!

Lesson learned. I should have listened to the enlightened folks on TGO and saved myself a lot of trouble.

It really is a shame that people continue to have issues dealing with these guys.

Good luck.........

I know even Jay who was running the place after the sale to Camaro Specialties has left because of their bad business practices. F Body Motorsports was ranked #6 in the Worst businesses in Charlotte,NC list recently because of stuff like this. I'd rather pay Year One's high prices than deal with them.

Re: Another slow learner...F Body Motorsports...

I tried ordering some items from them a Looooooong time ago. Luckily the messed up my order which I placed on line with a card. I tried calling them 4 or 5 times to help fix the problem and get my parts on the way, but once I saw how difficult it was to get thru, I just let it go.

Got all my parts from some ebay sources, which have proven to be at least around when there is a question!

They should have a way to leave feedback for ALL internet transactions, LOL!
