+1 for Summit Racing

I have always loved buying from Summit, but now more than ever. I just received the last part for my custom fuel lines that I am making, today. Two of my fittings were on back order which was fine with me. The first one arrived a day or two before the expected delivery date which was a nice surprise. The last one was rescheduled to be delivered on Nov. 5th, which is next week. Well the UPS guy shows up today with my last fitting, totally ahead of schedule. I am so pleased I could dance.

Oh and a funny story with the UPS guy. I've been ordering so many parts for my swap over the last 3 weeks I have almost been getting a package just about every day. The UPS guy shows up at the house with a grin on his face and says "Ahh, the infamous! I have been seeing a LOT of your name lately!" I told him how I'm building a car, and he was asking me what all I was building and I told him. That was kind of cool, because UPS guys are on a tight delivery schedule and I know that he had places to go but he still had a minute to chat.

Love Summit. Live in Cuyahoga Falls, 20 minutes from the Tallmadge Summit Racing. It's like running to Autozone, but better, and cheaper.

Re: +1 for Summit Racing

i was waiting on a flexplate from summit but decided to put a motor in and when the flexplate came in put the tranny in. It was not suppose to come in till two days later. To my surprise the UPS guy showed up right when i was about to put the motor in. I guess he looked at the box and it said summit and i was the only person in the parking lot doing a motor swap, not hard to put two together. I'm glad he didn't just leave a note at the door.

Re: +1 for Summit Racing

I find summit slow and when they make a mistake they are even slower to deal with it. I ordered rims and wheelnuts for a chevy 1ton axle and they sent me the wrong nuts and then tried to tell me it was what i ordered. I explained to the rep that i didn't order a specific size, i ordered by application(chevy 1 ton) so how could it be my fault they sent the wrong stuff? I paid shipping for them to be returned and never got reimbursed for the shipping though they did send me out the right lugs eventually. i have also had issues with them shipping by means other then requested. I request UPS it gets shipped US postal, i request postal and they ship UPS. Because of this i ended up paying brokerage on a gift certificate.

I wouldn't say i would never order from them again but i wouldn't blow sunshine up their butts either. They are far from perfect. To me everyone makes mistakes, the difference is how they go about making it right.
