Starts, runs great for 5 mins, then SES light and bogging for 5 mins, then runs fine?
Hey Guys,
Title says it all. HSR conversion. Starts, runs great for 5 mins, then SES light and bogging for 5 mins, then runs fine. I just reset the IAC, and I am going to see if this helps.
Also, when I try to pull diagnostic codes, I get nothing, even though the Service Engine Soon / Check Engine light comes on during that 5 minute interval.
FYI, after it has been running (on and off over a ew hours), it does not do it again. JUST when started from cold. Fires right up, then Check Engine Light and "bogging" underacceleration (wants to stall), then it suddenly CLEARS UP and runs like a horse.
Any ideas??? Let me know. THANKS!!!

Did you do any tuning to the chip?
Cold start injector deleted?
Verify all the wiring/sensors and vacuum lines are in the right places with that swap?
Just throwing out ideas. Rough cold start sounds more like a tune problem, as its not happy in open loop mode. Once it gets into closed loop, things are controlled by the MAF and o2 sensor so the fueling is adjusted as necessary.

I replaced the coolant temperature sensor, no luck. By the way, thanks for the response Orr89. Yes, the 9th injector is deleted, and I have a custom chip with the appropriate switch set for that.
