Re: NEW NOS SLP T-Ram
I never use cruise control, roads and road conditions here are not like over there. Cruise is pretty much useless. I know I don't need the bracket but it's nice to have it anyway. I just set the manifold atop an empty engine (normally has a crower injector on it)

Dam, just dug through another magazine stash spot and didn't find it. It's here somewhere. Thought it was in the 97 issue of High Tech with the rainbow / fade Fiero with the northstar transplant. It wasn't.

Re: NEW NOS SLP T-Ram
Set it up to use the same fittings the factory would use on a TPI intake.
the tank with the fittings on the bottom should go on the driver side.
The T-ram should have a few extra fittings to help get every thing hooked back up.

Re: NEW NOS SLP T-Ram
That's how I have it mocked up. There's 2 fittings on the bottom of that tank, an angled one on the back of the middle section for the brake booster and 1 on the back of the other tank.
The casting obviously has a shape on the back for 2 additional ports but I'd hate to start modifying it. I think I will set it up with a little "manifold"/splitter (Festo stuff) so I can hook more than 1 thing up from a single vac source. The 2 gittings on the bottom of the dr. side tank are a no go, it won't fit for my application.

Re: NEW NOS SLP T-Ram
I'm going to plug and weld that angled vac fitting on my T-ram then drill and tap those two cast bosses for fittings. That's how true firehawks were set up. Made things a lil tight tho.

Re: NEW NOS SLP T-Ram
If they were originally used oin a firehawk I don't think I have a problem with opening them up then. Since I think I will need only 1 I will use the inner most of the 2.
How does it make it tight? There's plenty of room up there, it's higher than the top of the distributor
Were firehawks set up with a dual feed fuel rail and both flowing and regulated back or 1 dead headed and the other regulated down?

Re: NEW NOS SLP T-Ram
The hawks use a coil in cap HEI distributor which is bigger than the birds factory coil and puts vac hoses closer to the cap.
Fuel lines come into a billet aluminum block mounted to the driver side fuel rail on front, split to both sides and crosses back over in the rear to the driver side custom billet aluminum regulator base and finally a single return line runs back to the front on the driver side.

Re: NEW NOS SLP T-Ram
Just a sad update for everyone here....due to the cost of my LS1 swap, I decided to sell both my polished T-Ram and my NOS T-ram intake.
It was bittersweet, as I had been wanting a t-ram for 10+ years and now I had 2 of them! But the reality set in that I now have no vehicles with a small block in it, so I could never utilize the intakes.
Both intakes sold to one individual that I won't name, but they went to a very good home with a bunch of other Firehawk parts.

Re: NEW NOS SLP T-Ram
I would like to entertain one of these intakes on my car. I never seem to come across one for sale. I have an original Hirel/Holley EFI intake, that I have been using. Really good intake for power and I have never seen another like it, but would not mind something that caters to my cars heritage
