I didnt reuse my lugnuts, I bought some new because my others were really torn up bad. I wish I could get some trick ones though that went perfectly with the wheels and in hyper black of course.

i reused the stock lugs, i didnt want any visable chrome on the car so the stock ones w/ black covers were perfect for the look i am trying to acheve. i know ive said theis for a long time but pictures will someday come. i have no camera, work full time, go to college at night (full time student status), and i do my best to retain a relationship with my future wife...

centercaps
Must the 17x8 SLP ZR1 wheels have those ugly bubbled centercaps? I just had them put on my car, and the shop put those centercaps on, as they should have. However, they bubble out really badly. I can't get to my car to pull one off and see if it is flat below that, but I do not want those bubble centercaps. Is this possible? Like I said, I can't get to the car right now to check... I have a bad feeling I already know the answer.... why would SLP give you those centercaps if you don't have to use them, right? What are other people doing?

No offense, but they look old school to me. Kinda like the ones American Racing has always used. I have'nt seen mine in person yet but I like the way they look in pics I've seen. I imagine they are necessary to clear your front wheel bearing dust covers like all older Camaro rims.

dmair50, I think your bird looks damn good with those GTA's. I think that ZR1's look good on camaros, but look.....funny on birds. Do you have more pics of your firebird?

thanks Leon! i should really set up a car domain site... i did end up getting that mecham wing on there too, the quality was way less than desierd (it still has waves after much body work) but over all the spoiler went with the lines of the 91-92 style nose and ground efects very well. maybe someday down the road when im not paying for college i can clean it up a little more and give her a show quality paint job. for know though she will be my weekend warior/date car.
back on subject however, normaly i am not a big fan of the zr1s on birds, however, i do feel the 91-92 body style lends to them very well. it gave me exactly the clean look i was going for

$699 direct from SLP peformance + $80 shipping for Hyper black. The silver painted ones are on sale for $499, though not so pretty.

Not polished. Painted silver or like mine hyper black. When I got mine I wasn't sure if they were the right ones so my wife called them for me. The hypers are painted black first than they spray a light coat of silver over the front of them, than a clear coat. The backs of the wheels really are almost black but the fronts look different depending on how much light there is. Silverish in bright sun, gunmetal where there is a shadow, and really cool at dusk.

the third gen offset ones have a deeper dish. think of it this way...with 4th gen wheels you need adapters to push them out more. if they start 2 inches further out, theres less room for a dish. if the wheels are 2 inches in....you want them to come out to where the body is, so theres a dish, and it looks good at the same time
