Burned My New Valve Covers
Well, I just got my new flamed valve covers from Billet Industries, and in the course of installing them, they got dirty. So I decided to wash the engine, then polish them back to their former glory. However, as I was using someone else's garage, I used Greased Lightning cleaner. Oops.
Quickly realizing my mistake, i washed off the car, but the covers are 'burned' where the greased lighting hit them. So my question is, will polishing them restore them, or something more intensive be required? As I am polishing my rims as we speak, sandpaper/compounds aren't hard to come by.
This is what i get for thinking engine cleaners should CLEAN engines. *goes and hugs Simple Green bottle*

At the most you will need is some buffing wheels to buff them, I bet aluminum polish and some elbow grease could take the stains off
