what the F!

I was sitting on the curb looking at my car and then i notice a crack in one of my sidemarkers...pissed already i then just have a look at the other side and both of them have very clear cracks right through them!

I mean what the hell is that? Ive had these on over 6-7 months and they just suddenly crack one day? I dont know what did it, maybe someone wanted them for there car and pryed at them but then theres no sign of messed up paint...maybe the bulb cracked em? The metal clips pressed on too tight? Im really pissed about this...

Car: too many ...
I hate to say it, but there's a possibility that they were just cheaply made. Happens kind of often when people make clear versions of turn signals, happened on my old truck (was running E-bay special clears), has also happened to friends (also running E-bay special hehe)

ya i mean i know they are cheap but no one else on TGO has had this problem apparently. I wonder if i buy the ones in the classifieds what will happen to those in a few months. Also curious how both sides crack on the same day! I looked at the car close enough prolly 2-3 days before both were intact.

Another thing to now add to the list...YARR

I'm guessing that someone tried to steal them by pushing in on them. I've got a set on mine. They are cheap, but I don't think they would crack without some help.

Yes it is lol, it bothers me cause i try to make my car as an example of what third gens can be, cracked lights just add to the old junk appearance. Its my baby i was just pissed, yes im prolly just over reacting but oh well. I notice all the flaws on my car in which it would take years for other people to notice.

Not very surprising. With large temperature cycles cheap plastic does not hold up well, at least from what I've seen here.

I bet somebody just wanted them. I've had a set on my ride for two years now and they still look like the day I got'em and they are the ebay ones as well.

Make sure you have them on the correct side. There is a little tab inside the fender and on the lense. If there not right when you pull the metal clips over to snug them down. It puts pressure on the middle of the lense. and could cause them to crack over time.

I wouldnt put it past someone trying to steal them either.
