Im looking into getting a set of Coys wheels but the guy on the phone says I will never get an 18x9.5 wheel to work on the front. I know for fact that 9.5" wide wheels do work on our cars. If anyone has 18x9.5 Coys wheels, could you do me a favor and see if they fit on the front? I really dont want an 8" front wheel but if I have no chopice then I guess I will have too. I asked hm about the offset and he didnt anwer me. all he said was that it wasnt an issue with my car. if no one can help me then I may have to order just 2 18x9.5 wheels and put some tires on them and see how they fit in the front. if there good then I will just order 2 more. If they dont fit then I will put them on the back

82firebird has 18" COYS on his car, but I think that he went with 18x8 all around. You should be able to run a 9.5 up there, I run 18x9 ROH on my front and my car is dropped. I had 17x9.5 ZR1's before that with no problems.

Nice choice on wheels - close to a tt2 look, but updated!

ya I seen his thread already taslking about his wheels. I know I can fit a 9.5" up front but this guy says I shouldnt. He said he just did a 91z28 and went with 8" in the front and 9.5" in the rear. Like I said, just to be safe, I may end up just ordering 2 9.5" wheels and mounting tires on them to see how they fit up front. If it dont work out then I will just order 8" wheels and toss the others in the rear where they WILL fit anyway.

the only other issue now is which finsih. I want the center black and I hate polishing things. I may opt for the chrom and then paint the centers. Then i wont have to worry about always polishing the lip.

I have 18x9's all the way around mine with no problems. You should be ok.

ya I hear ya on that. Now the offset issue shouldnt even be an issue if the wheels have 5.5" of BS right? No matter what, the final measurement used for fitting a wheel is backspacing correct?

As already mentioned I do have the 18x8's all the way around. I can't say for sure if the 9.5's would fit on the front. If I can help you with measurements or anything like that, don't hesitate to ask. Again me having the 8 inch width probably will be no help to you.

How was the guy you talked to personality wise? Whenever I call they're pretty cool. They gave me a heck of a deal right off the bat, and when they sent me the wrong lug nuts they didn't hesitate to send the right one's right away. Good luck with your purchase.

are the front wheels even with the fender or are they tucked a litle bit. I plan on adding C5 brakes down the road and they push the wheel out about 1/4". I just dotn want the frotn wheels sticking out

82firebird, does the valve stem line up directly inline with the stock rotor? if so could you measure how much space there is between the 2. there may be an issue with these wheels and running large brakes like the C5 brakes which is what I want to run. I do not want to find out that the larger rotors will comein contact with the valve stem.

I'm away from the car right now or I'd get you some pictures of how they line up with the fenders. As far as the valve stems go, you shouldn't have issues there. Coy's uses a flush valve stem which I was very surprised with when it came. I'll get some pictures later, but it is actually a flush design and when you add air you crew on an adapter valve stem.

i know you can run 17x9.5 on the front i got some firehawk wheels they ran them factory like that. Mine came with spacers for the front. They dont stick out of the fender. i would think an 18x9.5 wheel would work considering you can get an extremely low profile tire lowest profile with the 17's is a 40. diameter i would think to be about the same as a car with 275/40/r17 as say a 275/20/r18 i dont know the tire sizes for the 18's but i would think they would fit no rubbing and i know they will tuck under the fender.
