GT500KR hood pins?

Wondering if anyone has got a chance to get a better look at these. Just wondering if they would be a good idea. I plan on getting a fiberglass hood. Anyways, thoughts? Also, would it be a good idea to run these without a hood latch?

Found 2 different styles of them:

Very cool, but would you really spend that much $ on the 1st set? The 2nd set is cheaper, but shows no body mount, for the pins to lock in to.

Re: GT500KR hood pins?

I can use whatever. I'm looking for a hood pin that doesn't have removable parts that can be lost or easily stolen without hand tools. Also looking at how well it functions and how good it looks.
