Here's mine, 87 monte carlo SS. The two cars I remember new in the showroom just a couple years before I turned 16. Now they're both in my garage!

Re: best non fbody that compliments your thirdgen
Need to get the 'Bird painted but still have suspension to do... Most interior done, drivetrain is AMAZING and perfect in my opinion. The Fox is slower than a 5.slow with a 2.3 but has amazing paint, interior, and etcetera. Took that pic the day I bought it, still needs a quality wash. I have owned it for at least a month now and driven it three times lol... It is a garage queen with my Bird, and my Bronco...
My Bronco is real sharp in my opinion though...

My old 92 RS next to our 69 Firebird 350. Good combo I'd say. Also if somebody could let me know how to post better quality pictures that'd be great!

Well, they're both black and debadged, but pretty much opposite in every other way possible
1986 TA lg4 5 speed (RIP) and 99 1.8 turbo 5speed VW Passat
Passat is still my DD while building the replacement TA (85 body with everything else from an 87 GTA and 91 formula)

The other three cars are a 72 vette, 99 Trans Am & a 06 Accord which isn't worthy of being posted in this hallowed thread. Actually I don't have a picture of the Accord so I can't post it.

My car, my buddy's 92 Mustang LX 5.0, and another buddy's 09 Civic Si
...and then there's this Pulse autocycle!
And with my Toyota I've been driving all winter... my heart will always be with Pontiac and thirdgens but I do like a lot of older Toyotas and Nissans/ Datsuns. I got a thing for how 22R-E's and 4AG's sound at high RPMs...
I'm about ready for this wintry crap to be over in the midwest, I miss driving my T/A!

The Civic Si is cool, but compared to your T/A and the '92 Mustang it looks like a bland and boring sedan. (Like most new cars) It is just totally overshadowed by the badass stance and presence of classic american muscle.

Re: best non fbody that compliments your thirdgen
I thought I had gotten in on this thread but I was mistaken. I don't have a pic of them together, as a matter of fact I only have two pics of the formula. I plan on taking more as the weather gets nicer.
Here is my DD. It is a 2006 Subaru Legacy GT 2.5 Turbo. When I bought I said I wasn't going to mod it but she sits at full "Stage 2" currently. Mods include a Cold Air Intake, Bigger Intercooler, Up-pipe, Down-pipe, cat back exhaust, and a tune. Currently running WOT boost of 17 PSI even though she hardly ever sees that.
And a underhood pic:
Heres the formula:
and unrelated because I didn't have an F-body or the subaru at the time but here is a pic of my old ram 2500 and my old k5. K5 was lifted 4 inches by me. Dodge was stock other than exhaust.

I also have a '92 Volkswagen GTI with a VR6 swap. I love all kinds of cars. That being said, the GTI and Z28 are such complete opposites that it makes me love and appreciate each car that much more.

That Vdub is sick but your Z28 is definitely one of my favorite cars, I love the stance. What are you doing about bump stops and what spring heights are those?

Yeah, I totally agree. It's amazing how well built that Civic and most other newer cars are. It's pretty crazy how well they handle and accelerate while still riding smooth and getting awesome gas mileage but older cars just have more presence and are more fun to drive... you can't beat classic style or the feel of mechanical linkages working haha.
Sweet Subie! Bet that thing makes a good sleeper, much less boy-racerish than the WRX. I like the Ronals on the Formula too.

Gotta be the Vibe aka 'RATOR'... hahaha. But in all seriousness the gas mileage i get driving that car plus the total lack of having to put any money in her at all has allowed me to continue to rebuild my Sport Coupe.

It was 3 years ago, but before that I was in the Marines in NC for 4 years. So it's been a while. At that time I owned a 91 RS with a 6cyl. Could see the road when driving. Lol.

My new F-bodies companion.
2013 Focus ST. 252hp, 270lb/ft, and just about zero lag. Oh, it also has 4 doors + a Hatch, and hauls @$$ as well as groceries.
I know, I know. Its a Ford. I do not care the smile has not left my face since I took it home. It even converted a Die Hard Focus hater with a single test drive.

Nice car! I saw Motor Trend do some reviews on that bad boy and they really love it. It's supossed to be a pretty awesome car. Did you get rid of the G6?

Re: best non fbody that compliments your thirdgen
Also used my company discounts with ford to knock about $3k off the MSRP bringing a $28.6k to $25,7k. Though my Total Out the Door price with the extra warranty, undercoating and scotch-guard, and GAP insurance brought it back up.
Its a blast to drive, they aren't kidding when they say the steering is quick. Even on center its fast. The variable rack goes from 13.7:1 to 10:1 at the edges of lock. And the brakes? My God they will stop you in a hurry.
Shipping weight with full fluids and half a tank of gas was 3129lbs. Guy just hit a 14.1 @ 101mph with his ST, his 60'ft was a 2.2. Stock, no mods. Not as fast as the Cobalt SS/TCs are, those are quite a bit lighter in the 2800lbs range with about 10hp more.
The reviews aren't lying when they talk about how much they love driving it. I converted a die-hard focus hater in one test drive.

Converted me too, I will buy one for my next driver if my VW gives me too much grief. Customer brought a new ST into the shop last month for a custom 3" exhaust. Really woke it up, but pretty loud. I got to drive it around a little, really good seats and ergonomics, nice manual shifter.
