O.K. guys we've gotten Dirk's attention. I received an E-mail from him here it is:
From: "Dirk Timmermann" <dtimmerm@thirdgen.org> To: "John O'Bryan" <jobryan26@hotmail.com>

Hello John,
I have already seen that other post I haven't responded to it yet
though. I want to see what other people's thoughts are first. I have been
trying to follow both the threads but time constraints and other stuff make
it hard for me to post a lot But I am reading what other people are
saying. I did go and create a cafepress.com account the other night when I
read your post and Brad is working on a T-Shirt design right now. Actually,
more than one design So, even though I may not be replying to all the
posts, know that I AM reading them and am going forward with at least the
t-shirt idea for now
Thanks!

I bought a pair of Ts from the gathering last year even though I didn't go to the gathering. I have never worn one of the T's (I'm trying to preserve it I suppose) and the other one I wear to cruise nights and car shows. Problem is, the graphic is very dark and not terribly attractive on the shirt. To make a good shirt, it really should be silk screened. I looked into shirts for the IROC Homepage before, and I was able to find a place that would silk screen for as low as $10-11 a shirt with an order of 75 or more, and the quantity sort of scared me, but for this site, 75 seems like an easy number to sell.
But, I'd really like something to put on my car. A quality license plate bracket would be nice, although my Intimidator bracket will never come off my IROC. A small, single color sticker would be nice too.

I'll buy the plate frame and shirt! It would be cool if we could get the things personalized, with our user names on them! Then people would really know who we are!

i think that lettering on the frame idea is good, but the frames i have seen with lettering kits seem cheap to me. Maybe thirdgen.org at the top and a gta on one bottom corner and an iroc on the other, or pontiac and chevy symbols (might need to get copyright stuff for that though). Oh, and chrome would look good on some cars, but not mine, so it should be available in several colors.

I'd go for a keychain, plate and a T shirt (maybe even some small stickers). I think for T shirt several designs should be available, one for Camaro's one for Trans Am's and one with both. Count me in on some merchandise.

Hell I spent almost $50 canadian (Shipping, and a bunch of other crap) on a Conan Obrien t-shirt, i'd spend $20or$30 on a thirdgen.org one in a second.
Dirk it seems to me you can't lose on this, while I don't know how many more members I can corral from my town, maybe one. Mine and maybe wo others are the only thirdgens around that aren't piles of ****. Oh well, I'd wear my shirt with pride.

I want a licence plate Cover. I will work on a design and put it up on the board. Just an idea for the Camaro owners. What ever you put on the top cant be seen very well because it is under the spoiler, unless your far enough away for a better angle.

I would definitely do the license plate frame thing, small sticker and the t-shirt thing. These ideas sound very cool. This is a great way to advertise for the site and for GM really! Hopefully it'll happen.

Damn this post exploded! I think that the idea of putting our screen names on the frame is a great idea. I have to agree with whoever said that the lettering kits are crap. I think we would have better luck with a sharpie Lets keep this post going, Dirk is obviously keeping an eye on it.

you can put me down for two license plate frames and one uhhhhhh four beer mugs!
I love the idea of the SN on the plates because I am sure I haven't talked to everyone in my area yet. IT would be cool to pull up to a parking lot and park next to another thirdgen and see "thirdgen.org member" on the plate that would be awesome.

I know Dirk was keeping an eye on this post for a while but I haven't heard anything about whats going on. Does anyone have some info before I get my hopes up too high I think we have shown plenty of support for the t-shirt/keychain/license plate frame/beer mug/anything else we come up with. My only suggestion would be to get the $$ first then orer the stuff according to how much $$ you have, that way no one loses out on their money.

Yeah we would definately have to make sure that these mugs can hold a pint. My two favorite drinks are Guinness and Killians. I have been know to drink a bud or a dozen.

Finally someone who knows how to party. I love Guinness, not to mention anything made in Germany. You haven't lived until you've been to Octoberfest. Beer mugs would definitely be a great idea.
