1984 z28 decals/stripes
i have a 84 camaro z28 and i am tired of the stripes down the side, it is a project car and getting it painted in less than 2 months. i was washing the car today and the side decals/stripes started peeling and peeling. i started to pull and was able to get a good bit off but now there are spots on the side of the decals, any way to safely remove them without harming the paint to bad. i tried using my fingernails but nothing
if you google search 1984 camaro red stock. you can see in the second picture a convertible red camaro with orange stripes down the side, those are what im talking about

Check out the motor guard stripe remover wheel. Works like a charm.

thanks would it scratch any of the paint, it peeled off in some areas and there is only a little strip and would be near impossible to not hit the paint a little bit

its ok to hit the paint with it. the wheel is like a giant pencil eraser. it burns off the decal and the adhesive it leaves behind.
After you wheel off the decals, i'd wipe it down with a little solvent and then polish the car out paying good attention to the area where the decals were.
