| 1990 - 1992 Reverse Style Gàuges NÔ[\/\/] Avàilàble Are you tired of those dull yellow gauges that our cars came with and looking for something extra to make your car unique and eye catching? Would you be interested in installing reverse style gauges in your car? If so then you are in luck because I recently contacted SR Motor Sports and convinced them to add the following vehicle models to their development program:
1990–1992 Chevy Camaro RS 120 MPH
1990–1992 Chevy Camaro IROC Z-28 140 MPH
What is a model development program you might ask? Well it goes something like this:
(1) SR Motor Sports adds the above listed models to their development program (done).
(2) Ten people fill out the secure form on the SR Motor Sports website and agree to buy a set of reverse style gauges for 69.99 each.
(3) SR Motor Sports then mass produces the requested Gauges and ships out our orders.
(4) Everyone installs their gauges and is extremely happy because they look absolutely amazing in our cars. (A friend of mine bought reverse style gauges from this company before and they do look very cool)
Be sure to fill out the buy in form on their site because they won’t make the gauges until ten people agree to buy them. I have already signed up for the 140 mph speedometer version. http://www.streetracerparts.com/reverse_style.htm
Additionally we do have some control over the colors they use so please give me some input as to what colors you would like to see the gauges made in.
If you have any questions post them here or e-mail me.

Car: 1985 IROC-Z Engine: 355 Tuned Port Transmission: T5 | Something just dawned on me. The reverse-lit indiglo is going to make it impossible to see the needles.
Has anybody sucessfully retrofitted some lit needles into a thirdgen? |

Has anybody sucessfully retrofitted some lit needles into a thirdgen? | I don't think that is going to be a problem; SR Motor Sports has made gauges for many late model cars without any problems. Additionally I am going to have to send them the whole gauge cluster for each model that I had them add so that they can make sure everything is perfect. Of course I am not happy about sending them my 140 mph z28 gauge cluster. |

Their are certian requirement that must be met and you would have to send them a gauge cluster for the vehicle in question to use when they make the gauges.
I only have access to gauge clusters for the two vehicles that I had added. |

Not that it matters but, the tach is 5ooo redline and mine is 55oo. I that blue color but, I don't care much for the white (or silver I guess) faces.

Don't forget that thirgen needles are not lit. They use conventional lighting that shines on the front of the gauge in order for the needles to be seen. If you take that away, and use this reverse-indiglo, the needles will be dark, and most of the background will be dark. The needles will be virtually impossible to see. |

Anyways even if they are not lit I am sure we could figure something out. I know we have tackled much larger problems on this board. |

Car: 89 Black GTA Engine: 5.7 TPI Transmission: 700R4 | I have yet to see a thirdgen with stock lit needles. But, I think in the pics, the needles are not on the gauges. That is what all of the pics look like. I have seen pics of these gauges in cars and they have the stock needles in them and you can see them fine.

Thats how all of the needles on thirdgens I have seen are.
Mine used to "light up" orange when the lights were stock, and now that I have blue LEDs, they "light up" blue.

Car: 1991 Z-28 Engine: 350 Transmission: TH700 | Yea, the light behind ther guages shines thru the needles. I guess the other kind is, the light shines thru a ring around the guages like auto meter guages. the needles are red or orange |

| I have a 92 and their are lights behind the needles that make them light up and since the reverse style gauges dont interfer with those lights the needles will light up. |

Car: 87 IROC-Z28 Engine: 305 TPI Transmission: T5 Axle/Gears: 3.42 | I've got an 87 and have contacted this company and they want to know what model years the 87 145 mph stlye covers, and want me to send in a cluster to them.
So does anyone know what years the 87 style covers? And is anyone else here have this style that is interested in a set of these?
I am considering buying all ten sets for myself, or just paying the developement costs if they will give me exclusive rights to this design, and then I'll resell them on ebay unless others want to join in on this.
Anyway I've lived with what I have for 16 years now, but it would be nice to have the indiglo overlays. |

| Alloy,
I would be interested. I know we could get at least 10 orders for these. If not, I would be willing to go in with you to pay for it and sell them. If you get some info, PM or email me with it. Thomas

I agree is shouldn't take long to get 10 people. It's only been an hour or so since I posted this and with me and you we already 20% of the people we need for this.
Do you know what years this design will cover? That's one of the questions they asked of me.

| Nope, not too sure, but I bet we can find the info on this site. I will do a search and see what I come up with. If I find anything for sure, I will PM or email you. See what you can find and let me know the same way. No use in taking up space here. |

| Come on people we only need 10 buy-ins to get production started; I already made the first buy-in for the 1990 - 1992 z28.
I am sure there are a lot of people that would buy these gauges and if you one of them you need to make a buy-in or they will never go to production.
Its only $69.99, thats not bad for the product they are selling and I know they do a good job because one of my friends has gotten reverse style gauges from them for a different model car. |
