I think he means the 5" spoiler they have on their site. It goes as far as you being able to give them your money so maybe they do have some!?!? Might have to call them.

Well, i called the two #s on their site and got no answer. I also sent them an email so we will see what they have to say. I would have to say there is a 90% chance that they do not have them. That they just order parts from the manufacturer over the phone once you place an order. That is what happened with another site who had this spoiler on it. I know for a fact that ASCD has none left to sell. thanks for the help though

He is still alive and replying to my e-mails, seems to be making progress though. Heres an e-mail I got from him.
Hello My main problem is trying to aline the rear hatch and the two rear qt panels up so that all people who order will have a nice fitting spoiler. sincerely, rex orr

Look at it from his view
I think we all need to look at it from Rex’s view. There were two reasons Rex said he quit selling the spoiler from the old mold. 1. The spoiler had a tendency to spider crack. 2. Is the alignment issue. Rex said he was going to fix these problems before he sold anymore. I think it speaks volumes for his integrity. How many do you think he is going to sell when the new mold is done? Be honest. It may be a high demand a first, but then the orders will dwindle down to nothing. He could have just made them from the old mold. Then we would all be here bitching about “I paid this much and the fit is horrible.” His reply could be “It is the only version of this spoiler out there, so deal with it.” I want this spoiler as bad as any of you. Three years ago I paid a visit to their shop in Maryville, TN trying to get this spoiler and they explained the situation. Face the facts ACSD makes quality aftermarket fiberglass for more than just Camaros and Firebirds. Be happy he is working on it at all. If I were working on it and I came on here and saw all the bashing, even after he became a sponsor to this site, I would say to hell with you all and drop the spoiler altogether. For all you that say it’s so easy to make, why haven’t you made it to get rich off of all the demand?

I'm leaning towards him making it soon. Why become a sponsor if your not gonna make 3rd gen parts? So untill then my 82 Targa will have to settle with teh 87-90 spoiler I have.

Maybe one of us can contact GT Auto about making them since they seem to have gotten their act together. Competition can do wonders.

Yes, we do have that in stock. Your parts are available in both out CA and FL warehouses. Remember, when ordering after 3:00 pm, the item will not leave until the following business day when ordering smaller items, and if you choose to order and exhaust or body part, you will expect it within 14 days.

Hello, i was wondering if you could tell me if you had part# S-285 in stock? It is labeled as an Iroc rear spoiler-3pc. It is made by ASCD and is 5" compared to the 2" stock spoiler. Please let me know if you are able to get this spoiler. Thank you for your time-Bryan
Maybe some of you would want to order one? Email them and see if you get the same response. I emailed them back but have not gotten a response. I am tempted to call but it is not all too important to me right now. Maybe when finals are up!

They want $293 plus shipping. It is in the link that peruvious gave us! Maybe Monday i'll call and see what they say in person. The email clearly states that they have two locations for products, so maybe they do indeed have a few left in THEIR stock, not by getting them form ASCD. later guys

I just ordered one. I did it by money order but I requested on it for them to call me to confirm it is in stock. I've never dealt with them before so I'm gonna see if they'll send it COD.

FTForce appears hasn't called or emailed back to confirm that the part is in stock or cod. I called them and it was an automated response telling me to order online.
I'm not going to deal with these guys they seem shady.
I called G&T Fiberglass who used to be GTAAutoAccessories and spoke with Todd. He said that they're working on making one, and possibly a version that has provisions for the third brake light but they can't give me a time frame. This could be promising.

I just got off the phone with Paul at APM (ramairhoods.com) and he said they would like to make a the spoiler out of a plastic material which would be superior to fiberglass, but don't have the time to start from scratch. He said they are trying to find an old ascd one and even if it was damaged they could repair it and make a mold. He said they'd be willing to buy it or take in in trade for a new one. So if anybody has this or knows someone who has one, it would help many of us out if you get with him so we can get this going.

I did not see it on the web page for the third brake light. They must have added it today b/c last night it was not there. Anyway, is there anyone who would like to go in on a group purchase for this spoiler? I think there would have to be some interest first before i went ahead and asked them, don't you think?

I'm in on a gp. I'm looking at the money as we speak. I'd be even more interested in a gp on the jongbloed hood and the 5" spoiler combo.

I spoke to Bruce today at Hawks Thirgen Parts and he is a person that stands behind his product. The fiberglass 5" spoiler he has produced seems to be of high quality, good workmanship and materials. He also told me that until it is 100% ready that he would not send any out.
I talked to him about a group purchase and he said he would think about it because he has invested so much money in the design of this spoiler. So, If you guys want to get in on a POSSIBLE group purchase e-mail me your name and phone number ASAP and I will forward it to Bruce.

Iroc 5in spoiler
I e-mailed them at ASD about the spoiler also. I tried getting one back in March of 1999 and at the time they told me they were having problems with the mold, after waiting several months I finally asked for my money back and got it. I sure would like to have one on my 82 Z-28, it would be the finishing touch. Everyone needs to keep e-mailing them and calling to keep the interest up.

Rex Orr was too busy to do anything about the molds except blow smoke up everyone's *****. Now that somebody has one and if they sell decently, he'll probably come out with one. Anybody who has any pride whatsoever will order the spoiler from Hawk's since he was the only vendor willing to have one made. To everyone else that we contacted, it wasn't a priority. But he came through. He is one of the few reputable vendors that cater to our requests. I'm ordering one whether this GP goes thru or not. I want to publicly thank Bruce for doing this. It is very well appreciated.

Just because Bruce was able to bring this to production doesn't mean we should all start jumping up and down on rex's nuts. Believe it or not, I'll bet there are other lines out there that take a huge priority over thirdgens, namely lines where he might actually be able to make some money. Rex has brought other products to production (ss hood comes to mind) at our requests.
Anyway, I have a question for Bruce. Are you setting up at Carlisle for the GM show again, and if so, will you have the spoiler there? I'd like to see it in person, and I'll be at the show.

In regards to what everyone has been saying about ASCD (Rex), well I agree with all of you. However, I don't think we should waste our time bashing him. Bottom line, he fell through on a business deal which could have been lucrative for ASCD. Oh well, their loss and now it's Bruce's gain at HAWKS! Hey, I am just happy that Bruce picked up the ball and made this happen for us.
So far I have 5 people on the "Possible" Group purchase list. Again, if you want this spoiler and even the spoiler and Jongbloed hood combo let me know.

Hey guys this is definatley is nothing negative towards Rex he is great to deal with and I am sure he wanted to do this for you guys but has just been very busy We have spoke about the spoiler several times and he wanted to do it but did not see a opening to get it done in the near future and I fortunately saw a oportunity to take care of a HUGE need a lot of people had and was able to do so,So PLease on my behalf do not bash Rex because of what i did Please continue to support both of us in the Future and for those of you who order the spoiler i hope you are thrilled with getting this for your car and if there is anything else you need in the future please do not hesitate to give me a call and as always thank you guys for your business and thanks for your continued support.

Bruce, doers this spoiler mount in the stock holes? Also, does it cover the exact same spots on the hatch and rear quarters that the stock on does or is the base a little bigger?
thanks
thanks

Hey Guys, Just to give you an update, we test fit the spoiler last night on an 82-84 Z28, yes this will mount in your factory holes, as long as you had a 3 piece rear spoiler to begin with. However the factory holes on the deck lid of the 82-86 camaros will probably need to be drilled out just a little bit more (about 1/16th). All though this is not a guarantee on the holes exactly, it really depends on your car. We are going to have it fit as much as possible, at least 95%, so you the customer does not have to do much more other than having the spoiler prepped for painting.
We should have them ready later in this week. We are taking orders for them now. Also just to let you know each one will be test fitted on a car each time before shipping. We hope you guys like it.
Thanks, Bruce
