carefull door panel removal
I am going to replace my driver's side mirror soon and I was wondering if anyone had tips for removing the door panel. I know that these things become brittle over the years and I dont want to break it. I know that the panel is held on by a lot of those white plug thingies. They scare me.

i've done this more times then i'd like to have... i just took a flat screw driver and very slowly pry them back off the door, after doing that all the way around its gets hard.. (for me it did anyway) the plastic panal the runs the top of the door is held on by 3 or 4 places, i belive to get this off you have to push the panal in (like your trying to close the gap the window slides into) and up. and it should come off
hope this helps you out

just comon sence i guess, take off door handle, window crank, arm rest, and all else that gose with the black area with the handle. as for that black piece at at top, it'll take quite a bit before it breaks
its pretty simple just a PITA, oh yeah. those little sliding locks on the inside of the car, just unlock the door and pull them toward you when siting in the driver seat good luck with it

For the panel clips, you can usually find something like this:
at the parts store, and for the top of the panel, make syre the window is down, then roll the panel out, pushing in at the top and gently pulling the bottom out.
