Steering wheel Cover
Hey guys, Im looking for a good steering wheel cover for my 91 Z. As you know the 91 Z has the airbag wheel. Is there any good steering wheel ccovers? And i dont want any these corny "chevrolet" "NOS" ones. Money isnt to much of a issue. Any good nice looking custom steering wheel covers?

Wheel cover
My 91 convertible wheel dried out from the sun. I bought a simple cover from AutoZone. It looks like woven carbon fiber and is a matching gray and black which matches my exterior and interior colors. If my cover were perfect, I think I would have put the same cover I have to protect it. It's not too permenant and I don't think it would damage the original cover due to being on too long. You could also buy a "spare" original which is still available and store it. But you'll have to keep it conditioned to keep it from aging until your original needs replacing. Since money's no problem, they're only $400. Good Luck.

I have a vert as well.
I've been using the lace up covers with great results.
They take a bit longer than the pop on covers, but my steering wheel has 150,000 miles of driving on it and has always been covered. No crack rips or nothing.
My rule of thumb has always been to clean the wheel really good when I'm putting on a new cover every one or two years and then put some arour all on it and then put on the new cover.
I might add.... I never raise the top during the summer time and the car sits outside in the sun for 8 hours a day while I'm at work.
The foam backing ones feel nice for a few weeks until the heat bakes the foam and you have foam ching-ga-derras on your floor mats.
Either go with all cloth or vinyl.
Better yet..... leave it alone and just clean it and treat it with protectant when you wash your car.
They do last for a long long time when properly cared for.
