Removal of control rods from door latch

I'm having one heck of a time getting all the rods off the latch of my driver's side door. A while ago I locked my keys in the car and had to use a slim jim to get it unlocked and since then the key wouldn't lock or unlock the door so I decided to take it apart, clean it up and reinstall all the rods but I can't get them off. What's the secret?

I am not quite sure what this thing is called, but it's on the door and all the rods from the locks and handles go to it. I need to know how to get all the rods off so I can remove it and clean it.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to pull off. Those rods seems tricky at first but once you know how they come off. The ones that I remember just pop the backsides up and slide the rods out the side.

Can you post up a picture?

The only one nI can't seem to get off is the one connecting the inside door handle to the latch. The rest don't seem too difficult as I have already removed all of them. To remove the door trim you have to push up towards the window, I can't remember exactly how I did it, but it actually isn't too tough if you know how to do it.
