GFX delete?
well im finaly in the process of getting the t/a ready for paint and while i was disasembaling it i found that most/all of the gfx are cracked all up or have deep scratches. i have another front and rear bummpers for one with gfx like i have now that i got off my parts car. would it be easier to just do away with them all together and do a 91/92 bummper swap or just go out and get new gfx?

Well, to get rid of them you basically just need to remove them and fill in the holes. So either way it's not that much work. Just go with whatever you think looks better.

I hear removing the actual ground effects is quite easy, but removing the brackets they bolt onto is a real pain. Might want to double check on that to be sure before you get started.

well there are only 4 brackets total and the ones behind the doors only have 1 bolt that you have to get to from inside the car next to the rear seats. luckaly i happen to have all the interior plastics out at the moment too. the ones on the fenders have two bolts and the one on the driver side will be easy since when i replaced the fender i never reinstaled the plastic wheel well. the only pices that are realy messed up are the side skirts im assuming from rocks and road debri hitting them over the past 21yrs. if i do replace them i may use 91-92 camaro sideskirts if i can find some for a good price. so far all the "ground effects" have been removed except for the door pices along with bummpers and the door protector stirp that ran down the side the rivets were drilled out and holes filled in next i will be eliminating the antena and the key locks but leaving the handles. hopefully within the next month i will be purchasing a ramairII hood once i get it the car will be towed away for paint....HOPEFULLY!!!! the only thing i dont like about deleting the "ground effects" is that it makes it look a lot higher hence the name but i do not want to lower it much since im going to run true duals. well sorry for the ranting but ill post some pictures as well give me some feedback/advice/ideas

91-92 firebird ground effects on the sides might have different bolt-hole locations. 91-92 camaro ground effects might too, but i kind of doubt it. Both of these ground effects won't look right with 85-90 fender vents. You'll have to get 82-84 fender vents. I've looked at all the available ground efx and my favorite is still the 85-90 trans am style. If you decide to go ground efx delete, really consider getting a 91-92 formula front and rear bumper.
Good idea to shave the antenna and leave the door handles
