Rusty door

Hey everyone! Quick one about my 86 firebird....The bottom of my driver side door is rusted and basically rotted away. Any suggestions on tackling this problem? Possibly get a new door? Its kind of tough to tell from this picture, ill post up another one tonite possibly.

Rust has a bad habit of coming back, unless you cut off the entire piece and weld a replacement piece on. With that said, you can probably pick up a used door in very good condition for about $50. (I did) The cost of fixing the door will probably cost you more.

Ah ok...what about the lock? Would I be able to swap the lock on the doors?

Yes, once you remove the inside door panel, the only thing that holds the lock cylinder onto the door is a "C" clip.
