Re: Sprayable fiberglass resin

many companys do , check any marine supply . but , i have the feeling that you are looking for something from a rattle can . if so i have never heard of one . would be problem with the hardner . both have a much shorter shelf life than paint .

Re: Sprayable fiberglass resin

The AutoBodyStore has it, but I've never had any experience with it. I guess the idea is to use it as a seal coat for enamel over bondo, but I'm not too sure.

Re: Sprayable fiberglass resin

Na i'm not looking for anything in a spray can. What i'm doing here is i have a glass hood for my camaro. it has the normal fiberglass waves, i was going to block the whole hood but i know once i start blocking i'm going to break through the original gel coat and i know it's not a good thing to apply mud to bare fiberglass, so i was figuring on blocking all the paint off the hood, spraying the whole hood with resin and blocking that. Now should i completly block the old gel coat off of the hood or is it ok to spray over that as long as it's scratched good enough. I mean i will strip off the old paint but is it necessary to strip off the gel coat as well?? Thanks
