headlight interchanibility?
Hey guys i have an 87 trans am. I put one of the "turbo" hoods from an 84 model trans am on it. For some reason the headlights are very far from the hood and the gap is about two inches. The lights also can be pulled up and down a few inches and they are loose as can be, but they still match the original gta hood. I also have a 91 trans am with lights that are perfect. they have no play and go up quickly each time you flip the switch. What is wrong with my lights, and why don't they match up? Can the 91 lights be changed with my 87?

Re: headlight interchanibility?
I know 84 and 87 head light housings are interchangeable. Motors aren't, but that won't matter in your case. Don't know about 91. There is a long L-bracket across the bottom and two small ones at the top holding each swing housing in. Total of 8 bolts to provide adjustment in all directions. Sounds like some of yours are loose or missing.
I have an 84 bulge hood and 87 head light assemblies on my daughters car.
