problem installing drivers door
im in the middle of trying to replace my door and i got the new door on the car and i can get all the bolts in except the front bolt on the bottom hinge,i got the front bolt on the the top hinge and almost got the bottom one lined up,but my bigger issue is that i got all the bolts except one and that hole is almost lined but there is still like a 1 inch gap between the door and the fender and its pretty tight between the body and the door, and it looks like when i finally do get the last bolt in (front bolt bottom hinge none slotted hole)that i wont have any adjustment to move the door forward,is this correct? the new door is off a 91 rs and is going on a 86 iroc, are the hinges slightly different? has anybody else had this issue? if anybody could help me out id really appreciate it ,thanks in advance, joe

Re: problem installing drivers door
My preferred method is to remove the fender, then close the door, then start all the bolts. Then adjust the door with wedges, trying to get the bottom gap equal from front to back and equal to the gap under the passenger side door. With the door done, reinstall the fender.
